About the role

Clinic: 8 am - 4 pm M - F; inpatient rounds Mon - Sun
Call is 1:3 -- STEMI call responsibilities included
Average census: 8 - 10 weekdays; 6 - 7 weekends
About 8 - 10 patients per day in clinic
APP and hospitalist assistance available
Procedures: PTCA, stents, caths, echo, stress, EKG -- adults only
8 - 9 add-on cath procedures per week; avg 3 per lab day

Responsibilities

• Call responsibilities including STEMI cases
• Manage patient census of 8 - 10 weekdays and 6 - 7 weekends
• Treat 8 - 10 patients daily in both clinic and hospital settings
• Perform procedures such as PTCA, stents, catheterizations, echocardiograms, stress tests, and EKGs on adult patients
• Conduct an average of 3 add-on catheterization procedures per lab day
• Work in an ongoing coverage capacity
• Receive paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel/housing benefits
• Access to an online assignment portal and 24-hour consultant support
• Be a charter member of NALTO

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Cardiology
• Experience in adult cardiology and emergency medicine
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of advanced cardiac procedures and echocardiography
• Excellent communication skills
