Locum | Physician Hematology Oncology

About the role

A busy, well-established outpatient hospital-based practice with a 60% hematology / 40% oncology mix. The typical diagnoses include lung, colon, breast cancers; lymphoma; NHL; CML; anemias. Ongoing coverage potential.

Responsibilities

• Treats 18+ patients per day
• Works 4 days/week — Mon – Thu or Tue – Fri, 8 am – 5 pm
• Handles a 100% outpatient hospital-based practice
• Manages a 60% hematology / 40% oncology mix
• Engages in ongoing coverage

Requirements

• MD/DO degree
• Board-certified/Board-eligible in Hematology / Oncology
• Current NJ license
• Experience in treating solid tumors and malignant hematology
• Experience with benign hematology, including anemia management

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage a high caseload
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)

• Knowledge of hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Proficiency in managing complex cases
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

4 days/week — Mon – Thu or Tue – Fri, 8 am – 5 pm
