Schedule

• 24-hour shifts — 7 am to 7 am call coverage
• Ongoing coverage with additional schedule in progress

Patient volume

• 1–10 patients per shift
• 1–10 admissions per call

Coverage requirements

• Both inpatient and outpatient coverage required
• Beeper call — 20-minute response time required

Clinical scope

• General surgery skills across adult, pediatric, and neonate populations
• Laparoscopic, breast, OB/GYN, endoscopy, and head/neck procedures

Requirements

• Hospital privileges required
