Locum | Physician General Surgery

About the role

Beeper call with a 1:1 ratio and a 30-minute response time is required. The position involves both inpatient and outpatient practice settings, focusing on general surgery procedures including laparoscopic techniques, GI endoscopy (including colonoscopy), trauma, and vascular surgery. Experience in treating an adult population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general surgery procedures including laparoscopic techniques
• Conduct GI endoscopy, specifically colonoscopy
• Treatment of trauma and vascular surgery cases
• Treatment of 10 patients per shift
• Practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Requirements

• Current medical license in good standing
• Experience in adult surgical care
• Knowledge of laparoscopic techniques and GI endoscopy
• Experience with trauma and vascular surgery

Qualifications

• Board certification in general surgery
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage a high volume of patients
