Locum | Physician Gastroenterology

Ongoing assignment in an outpatient and inpatient practice setting.

Responsibilities

• See 12 patients per shift
• Handle call with a 1/8 ratio and a 30-minute response time (beeper call)
• Manage a call volume of 8–12 patients seen per 24-hour period
• Perform upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy
• Conduct PEG, esophageal dilatation, banding, and push enteroscopy
• Perform Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
• Obtain and maintain hospital privileges
