About the role
A Family Practice Physician is needed for locums coverage in Presque Isle, ME.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care in outpatient health center and women's health clinic settings
- Perform well woman care services
- Insert and remove intrauterine devices (IUDs)
- Work 3 days per week at a health center — 2 days per week at a women's health clinic
- Treatment hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm or 9 am – 6 pm depending on the day
- Treat up to 22 patients per shift
Requirements
- Current Maine medical license
- Women’s health primary care experience required
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
- Experience with IUD insertion/removal
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
