Schedule

• 7 on / 7 off – day (7 am – 7 pm) and night (7 pm – 7 am) shifts

Patient Load

• 15 patients per day – 6 admits per shift
• Cardiovascular ICU – 95% surgical, 5% medical

Responsibilities

• Occasional supervision of fellows, residents, and students
• Primary airway support service for the hospital (intubation required)
• Vent management, central/arterial line, PA catheter (ECMO required)
• Code response (dialysis catheter placement, ICP management)

Requirements

• CC fellowship required – board certified intensivists only
