About the role
Inpatient setting with OR coverage for cardiac and thoracic cases.
Roughly 150 heart cases per year.
24-hour call coverage — 7 am to 7 am shifts.
APP coverage 8 am – 4:30 pm — surgical PAs and NPs on call.
EMR: EPIC.
Standard cardiac surgery — ECMO cannulation, aortic dissections, CABG.
Leave coverage opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Board certification required.
- Some locum assignments can be as short as a day, others, years.
- Some are far from home, others are local.

Qualifications
- Experience in standard cardiac surgery including ECMO cannulation, aortic dissections, and CABG.
Skills
- Ability to work in an inpatient setting with OR coverage.
- Experience with 24-hour call coverage and APP coverage.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
