Locum | Physician Cardiovascular Surgery

About the role

Clinic / call model — 2 weeks of coverage per month
Flexible scheduling: 7 on/7 off, 2 consecutive weeks, or 10 on/5 off
Required: CABG volume and valve experience (AVR/MVR)
Must be able to take call independently
Thoracic comfort required — lobectomies and VATS
ECMO and ICU experience a strong plus
Hospital privileges required

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures related to cardiovascular diseases
• Manage patient care including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Assist in teaching and mentoring junior surgeons

Requirements

• Completed medical degree and board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience
• Experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, lobectomies, VATS, ECMO, and ICU
• Ability to work independently and take call
• Hospital privileges
