Locum | Physician Cardiology

About the role

A Michigan Facility is seeking a locum tenens Cardiologist to provide services in an inpatient hospital setting with an outpatient clinic component. The position offers 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 6 - 8 inpatient PPD cases
• Treat 1 - 2 ICU patients
• Handle 2 - 4 consults daily
• Treat 16 PPD in the clinic
• Perform procedures such as echocardiography, stress tests, electrocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, and nuclear imaging
• Flexibility in procedure availability based on experience

Requirements

• Current medical license in Michigan
• At least 3 years of recent relevant experience
• Experience with advanced cardiac procedures preferred

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Skills

• Procedural skills including echo, stress, EKG, cath, TEE, cardioversion, and nuclear imaging
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills

Pay

The pay is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with call requirements. There is a 1:3 call expectation, with 10 days of call per month.
