Locum | Physician Cardiology

About the role

A South Dakota Facility is searching for a locum tenens Cardiologist to provide one week per month minimum coverage, including inpatient coverage with rounding and consults, 10-20 patients per day rounding, and 1-5 consults per day. The position requires performing echo, stress, EKG, general inpatient cardiology procedures, and nuclear and TEE experience is preferred. ACLS and BLS certification are required. The work setting includes both outpatient and inpatient environments, with optional clinic work available.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage with rounding and consults
• Perform echo, stress, EKG, general inpatient cardiology procedures
• Manage 10-20 patients per day during rounding
• Handle 1-5 consults per day
• Nuclear and TEE experience preferred

Requirements

• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Optional clinic work available

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current South Dakota medical license
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
