Locum | Physician Anesthesiology

About the role

A Facility in Louisiana is seeking a Locums Cardiac Anesthesia provider to work 7 am – 3 pm shifts with no call, 50 hearts per month in a hospital-based setting. The position involves full scope of open hearts including structural, Watchman, PFO, and MitraClip procedures, as well as thoracic, complex vascular, complex orthopedic, and spine procedures. Recent TEE experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac anesthesia for a variety of procedures
• Manage anesthesia for 50 hearts per month
• Work in a hospital-based setting
• Handle open heart procedures including structural, Watchman, PFO, and MitraClip
• Assist with thoracic, complex vascular, complex orthopedic, and spine procedures
• Utilize recent TEE experience
• Provide vacation coverage

Requirements

• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Recent TEE experience required

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
• At least 3 years of clinical experience
