Locum | Physician Anesthesiology

About the role

Rockford, IL. Monday through Friday, 7 am – 5 pm with call rotation. 2 – 6 hearts per week in a hospital setting — very busy facility. Call: ~2 weeknights/week and 1 – 2 weekends per month. Procedures include TAVR, CABG, valve repair/replacement, ascending arch, and TEEs. Requires regional anesthesia due to high orthopedic volume and non-cardiac cases when not needed in CVOR. Trauma experience required, covering a wide range of cases including OB and pediatrics.

Requirements

• Current Illinois license
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Experience with TAVR, CABG, valve repair/replacement, ascending arch, and TEEs
• High orthopedic volume requiring regional anesthesia
• Trauma experience, covering a wide range of cases including OB and pediatrics

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
• At least 3 years of recent relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills
