Locum Pediatrician

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric care on a call‑only, 4‑day assignment.
• Manage 2‑3 patients per shift, including 1‑2 admissions.
• Perform intubations (ETT/NT) for newborns and pediatric patients.
• Place umbilical venous catheters (UVC) and umbilical arterial catheters (UAC).
• Conduct lumbar punctures.
• Insert chest tubes and perform needle decompression for pneumothorax.
• Perform suturing and circumcisions.
• Interpret X‑rays and electrocardiograms (EKGs).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in pediatric intubation (ETT/NT).
• Experience with UVC and UAC line placements.
• Skilled in performing lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, needle decompression, suturing, and circumcisions.
• Ability to accurately interpret X‑rays and EKGs.
