A 13-week locum tenens assignment starting 09-21-26 at an acute-care hospital in Durant, OK.

About the role

Temporary locum tenens position providing obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting. Shift coverage is 24-hour on-call on a standard 3-day rotation (07:00 – 07:00).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
• Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Perform surgical procedures such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries (scope-dependent).
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
• Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Stay current on advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA.
• Active, unrestricted Oklahoma medical license.
• At least one year of clinical or hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care experience.

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

$1,600 – $1,700 per day.
