Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Cardiothoracic Surgeons as 1st Assist in the operating room
- Performing vein harvesting and other surgical duties
- Providing acute and chronic patient care, including physical exams, rounding, and post-op care
- Documenting patient information and care in EMR (EPIC)
- Responding to emergencies using CPR and ACLS protocols
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in treatment planning
- Managing procedures like chest tube and pacing wire removal, wound care, and debridement
Qualifications And Skills
- Experienced NP with CTS knowledge, preferred over new grads
- Proficient in documentation, prescriptions, and diagnostic procedures
- Able to work in surgical and outpatient settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Additional Details
- Schedule includes Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with night call
