Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Neurology position in Anchorage, AK.

Pay

$235/hour - $250/hour

Schedule

  • 16-week assignment starting 10-01-26
  • Standard 5-day, 9-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00)
  • Scheduled coverage plus on-call required

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, and multiple sclerosis
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs, and lumbar punctures
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide emergency care and manage critical situations effectively
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training in neurology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Fellowship in a neurology subspecialty may be required
  • Board certification in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP)
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska
  • At least one year of clinical experience preferred

  • Ability to interpret complex neurological data

  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting neurological assessments and procedures
