Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Neurology position in Anchorage, AK.
Pay
$235/hour - $250/hour
Schedule
- 16-week assignment starting 10-01-26
- Standard 5-day, 9-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00)
- Scheduled coverage plus on-call required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, and multiple sclerosis
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs, and lumbar punctures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide emergency care and manage critical situations effectively
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Residency training in neurology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Fellowship in a neurology subspecialty may be required
- Board certification in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP)
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska
- At least one year of clinical experience preferred
