Locum Interventional Radiologist

About the Role

An Interventional Radiologist is sought to provide locum coverage, performing a variety of invasive procedures, outpatient and inpatient consultations, and trauma and emergency cases. The role involves supervising advanced practice providers and overseeing clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general IR procedures, including biopsies, kyphoplasty, port placements, and paras/thoras, averaging 9-10 procedures daily.
  • Manage inpatient consults, outpatient visits, and emergency cases.
  • Supervise full-time advanced practice providers (APPs) and physicians, overseeing clinical operations.
  • Cover trauma and emergency call duties.

Requirements

  • Board-certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ABR) or IMLC credentialing.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA).
  • Experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic.
  • Proficiency in supervising and coordinating clinical teams.
  • Completion of 5 proctored cases prior to start.
