Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Interventional Cardiology Physician in West Burlington, IA. Start date: 10-30-26. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Facility type: Out‑Patient Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting and catheterizations.
• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
• Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Address and manage acute cardiovascular emergencies and complications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the ACGME or the AOA.
• Fellowship in cardiology, with specific training in interventional cardiology.
• Board certification in cardiology by the ABIM or the AOA.
• Additional board certification or fellowship completion in interventional cardiology.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Iowa.

Qualifications

While specific requirements may vary, most locum interventional cardiologist positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting.
