Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting and catheterizations.
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Address and manage acute cardiovascular emergencies and complications.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Fellowship in cardiology, with specific training in interventional cardiology.
- Board certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Additional board certification or fellowship completion in interventional cardiology.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Alaska.
- At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting (preferred).

- Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
