Locum Hematologist/Oncologist

This role involves providing outpatient locum tenens coverage with a focus on follow-up and some new patients, primarily through phone call coverage only, with no hospital call required. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of 16-20 patients daily in a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The position offers leave coverage with the option to extend up to 9 months, and involves working in an outpatient facility. Qualifications include relevant medical experience and the ability to handle follow-up care efficiently. Skills required are strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage a patient load independently. Additional duties encompass credentialing and privileging processes, utilizing an online portal for assignment details, and collaborating with a dedicated recruiter who manages logistics such as credentialing, housing, travel, and malpractice coverage. Compensation ranges from $375.00 to $500.00 hourly, inclusive of base pay, overtime, call, and holiday pay, with rates influenced by experience and position needs.
