Role Overview
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia services in a multi-specialty surgical center.
Responsibilities
- Deliver anesthesia for diverse procedures including cardiac, orthopedic, general surgery, vascular, and trauma cases
- Proficient in spinals, epidurals, and nerve blocks
- Work under supervision with MDs on-site, primarily during day shifts with call coverage
- Provide anesthesia with minimal supervision, ensuring patient safety and effective pain management
Qualifications & Skills
- Board certification is mandatory
- Prescriptive authority required
- Experience with various anesthesia techniques and case types
- Ability to respond promptly during on-call hours
- Familiarity with supervision models and collaborative team settings
Key Duties
- Cover sporadic dates for vacation coverage
- Handle diverse case loads
- Participate in call duties
- Provide anesthesia services in an on-site setting, supporting a broad range of surgical procedures
