About the role
This is a temporary locum tenens assignment lasting 26 weeks, with a start date of September 28, 2026. The role involves both scheduled shifts and on-call coverage in an acute care hospital setting.
Schedule
- Shift coverage: Scheduled + On Call required
- Shift schedule: Standard 5, 8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00)
Pay
$200/hour - $215/hour
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management.
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education.

Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.
- Active and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in California.
- National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting (preferred).
