Locum - Cardiology - MD/DO

Key Responsibilities

• Perform an average of 1 cardiovascular case per day.
• Handle adult cardiac surgeries, including Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG) and off-pump CABG.
• Conduct arterial revascularization procedures.
• Participate in nighttime call responsibilities, approximately 12-13 shifts per month.
• Collaborate with a dedicated surgical team, including PAs and Nurse Practitioners.
• Utilize PowerChart (Cerner) for patient management.
• Provide support in performing additional procedures such as pericardial windows.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.
• Completion of a fellowship training program.
• Active medical license in New Jersey.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Experience in level II trauma surgery is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.

License And Certification Requirements

• New Jersey medical license (Active and in good standing).
• Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
