Locum Anesthesiologist

About the Role

This role is for an MD providing anesthesia services in a hospital setting with a broad surgical case mix, including cardiac, thoracic, general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, ENT, urology, neuro, vascular, plastics, pediatrics, and podiatry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care during day shifts in an organized operating room environment
• Participate in call duties, including weeknights and weekends, with a minimum of 1 week per month
• Collaborate with CRNAs, especially on cardiovascular cases where they participate in all procedures
• Provide supervision and support for diverse surgical cases, with approximately 50% hands-on involvement
• Support a broad surgical case load with variable daily volume
• Work on-site in a hospital environment

Requirements

• Board certification in Anesthesiology and TEE certification are required
• Fellowship training is not necessary
• Experience with a variety of surgical procedures and patient populations of all ages
• No prescriptive authority required
• Supervised practice with a focus on patient safety and quality care
