Locksmith
About the role
This position assists in the daily activities of the Key Shop by providing security and access to all buildings, enterprise-wide, under the supervision of the Facilities Services & Sustainability Director and Campus Accessibility.
Responsibilities
The Locksmith will perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and movement of the whole body, such as required in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. The position may work at various locations on the University Campus and transport materials and/or equipment to such locations, and may be exposed to elements of weather and temperature extremes while on-the-job and when traveling to/from job site(s).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull objects up to and over 50lbs; Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs
- Ability to work in a environment with loud noises, dust, hazardous chemicals, fumes, including waste; Hazardous tools and equipment

Work Environment
The position is a full-time, 40-hour per week role, with a standard shift of 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (Monday – Friday). However, hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors, emergencies, and crisis management requiring night(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $17.76-28.43/hour.
