About the Role
Utilize advanced observational skills and deductive reasoning to identify, locate, and mark all types of utilities within the job scope, including sewer, electric, abandoned, and chemical transport facilities. Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive attitude while conducting private utility locating using state-of-the-art equipment such as ground penetrating radar, EM scanning, and mapping software. Support subsurface utility engineering services to ensure underground facilities are protected and excavation safety is maintained.
Responsibilities
- Locate and mark all underground utilities.
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure accurate utility mapping.
- Use advanced equipment to detect utilities and maintain detailed documentation.
- Uphold safety standards and professionalism throughout all tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year private locating experience or 2 years public locating experience across multiple utility types.
- Ability to read CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.
- Must pass a physical exam and be willing to work occasional after-hours and overnight travel.
- Detail-oriented, dedicated, and able to learn new procedures and technologies.
