Local Truck Driver CDL/Hazmat

About the role

The CDL Driver - Hazmat operates commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations or job sites, adhering to DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines. This role ensures timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a safe and reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Follow DOT rules and maintain a clean driving record
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips
• Load, unload, and organize orders carefully
• Double-check purchase orders and delivery tickets
• Support job site safety by checking for and reporting hazards
• Take photos of all delivered products as required
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts
• Direct Manager/Direct Reports

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
• Current DOT Medical Certification
• FMCSA Registration
• Ability to lift and handle up to 100 pounds
• Must be 21 years old for transporting hazardous materials
• Clean driving record (no hit & runs and no DWI/DUI in the last 18 months)
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance
• Basic computer skills for recording deliveries and tracking inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Air Brake endorsement, experience operating Manual or Automatic Transmission vehicles, valid and unexpired forklift certification, Moffett certification, prior commercial driving experience
