Local Student Driver (Permanent/Full-time)

About the role

Labatt Food Service is now hiring for a Student Driver at the Houston location. Must be able to provide a valid Texas Class A Permit or Texas Class A CDL. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. permanent residents. English is required.

We operate in a high-intensity, high-transaction logistics environment, supplying 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers in Texas and New Mexico from 5 distribution centers.

Responsibilities

• Unload 600–1,200 cases per day by hand at designated stops
• Learn to drive a tractor-trailer
• Interact with customers on local routes

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Dispatch typically between 2:00 and 5:00 am
• 10–12 hour shift
• Home with family every night and on weekends

Training & Career Path

• Paid training to acquire your Class A CDL
• Upon completion of program, career path set as Route Driver

Safety & Equipment

• Trucks equipped with adaptive braking and collision mitigation
• Lane departure warnings
• Tire pressure monitoring on all tires
• All trucks are new with automatic transmissions
