Local Event Producer & Promoter (freelance, commission only)

About the role

The Local Event Producer & Promoter position is a freelance opportunity, paid on a commission basis. The role requires a dynamic individual who can manage event planning and promotion across multiple locations including Winston-Salem NC, Greensboro NC, Myrtle Beach SC, Chattanooga TN, Knoxville, TN, Athens GA, and Savannah GA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events in various markets
• Coordinate with venues, vendors, and performers to ensure smooth event execution
• Manage event logistics including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community leaders
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event production

Requirements

• Proven experience in event planning and management
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with event technology tools such as ticketing systems and social media platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event production
