About the role
Responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload fuel safely and timely in a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and receive petroleum products to and from company tanks, customer tanks, and airplanes as required.
- Perform customer service activities, including fuel attendant duties.
- Assist with gasoline pump meter readings, sales slips, and credit card charges.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and requisition parts and repairs.
- Perform or assist with weekly inspections of facilities.
- Assist maintenance crews with maintenance and upgrades.
- Track and reorder inventory.
- Complete paperwork and update information into computer tracking systems.
- Understand and implement company, state, and federal regulations.
- Act as a first responder to any spill incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or experience in lieu of education.
- Minimum of two years of experience operating vehicles that require a CDL.
- Experience with propane, natural gas, pipefitting, plumbing, crane, or boom truck is a plus.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker, Hazardous Materials, and Air Brake endorsements.
- Must meet the current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Must possess a current Medical Certificate.
Working Conditions
- Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures.
- May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially dangerous equipment.
- Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and climb ladders.
- Pull hose from truck to customer’s tank up to 125 to 150 feet.
- May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor, and ability to sit for long periods of time.
