Local Driver

About the role

Responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload fuel safely and timely in a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive petroleum products to and from company tanks, customer tanks, and airplanes as required.
• Perform customer service activities, including fuel attendant duties.
• Assist with gasoline pump meter readings, sales slips, and credit card charges.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and requisition parts and repairs.
• Perform or assist with weekly inspections of facilities.
• Assist maintenance crews with maintenance and upgrades.
• Track and reorder inventory.
• Complete paperwork and update information into computer tracking systems.
• Understand and implement company, state, and federal regulations.
• Act as a first responder to any spill incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum of two years of experience operating vehicles that require a CDL.
• Experience with propane, natural gas, pipefitting, plumbing, crane, or boom truck is a plus.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker, Hazardous Materials, and Air Brake endorsements.
• Must meet the current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must possess a current Medical Certificate.

Working Conditions

• Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures.
• May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially dangerous equipment.
• Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and climb ladders.
• Pull hose from truck to customer’s tank up to 125 to 150 feet.
• May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor, and ability to sit for long periods of time.
