About the role
Loffredo Fresh Foods is a local, family-owned food and produce distributor serving the Midwest region. This position involves delivering products to various locations within the service area.
Responsibilities
- Check orders for accuracy
- Inspect product for damage
- Keep accurate records of deliveries
- Interact with customers professionally
- Ensure a positive delivery experience
- Address any questions or concerns from customers
Requirements
- Valid interstate eligible driver's license
- 21+ years of age
- Availability to work early morning hours (start time between 2 AM – 4 PM)
- Reliable and punctual transportation
- Pass a background check (including sex offender registry)
- Willing to recertify DOT Med Card and pass a DOT drug screen
- Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) and Clearinghouse full query
- Able to read and write English
- Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery orders
- Comfortable driving a 26ft box truck
Qualifications
- Must be able to safely operate vehicles at all times
- Must follow all safety guidelines
- Must be comfortable driving and unloading in varying weather conditions
- Must deliver and communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Must unload products using a ramp and hand dolly
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally
