Local Delivery Driver (Class A w/Hazmat)

About the role

We are hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Geismar, LA. The position requires a valid LA Class A Commercial Driver’s License, valid Medical Examiner's Card, Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications, and one year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt.
• Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

Requirements

• Valid LA Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
• One year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to work occasional overtime if necessary.

• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (Forklift/Moffett).

Pay

$25 per hour with bonus potential.
