Local Delivery Driver (CDL with Hazmat)

About the role

We are hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Odessa, TX. The position requires a valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver's License, valid Hazmat and Airbrake certifications, and no more than two (2) traffic convictions within the last three years. Essential duties include cylinder handling, record keeping, safety compliance, and warehouse support.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt.
• Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

Requirements

• Valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.

Pay

$27 per hour with bonus potential.

Schedule

Monday- Friday, Day Shift.
