Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)

About the role

We are hiring a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) in Brush Prairie, WA. The position is open and requires a valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements. Candidates must maintain a safe driving record, adhere to company safety policies, and comply with all federal, state, local, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Vehicle Compliance: Maintain a safe driving record, appropriate licensing, strict adherence to company safety policies, use of PPE, and identify workplace hazards.
• Delivery and Logistics: Load and unload service trucks, perform timely deliveries, ensure load documents are accurate, and collect and submit customer payments.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain required company and DOT records, identify potential cylinder problems, pull orders from the warehouse, and provide support to customers regarding inventory and delivery needs.
• General Duties: Provide support to internal and external customers, be available for occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays for on-call duty.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
• Candidates must currently have their HAZMAT
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions in the last 3 years, or a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Able to work in a drug-free environment
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months

Qualifications

• Appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Able to work in a drug-free environment
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months
• Forklift experience preferred

Skills

Required skills include maintaining safety and vehicle compliance, performing timely deliveries, and supporting customers. Preferred skills include forklift experience and previous CDL experience.

Pay

$30-35/hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday (5 a.m.- 4 p.m.)
