Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Surgical Technician for a local contract job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgery.
• Monitor patient vital signs and prepare patients for surgery.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technician.
• Experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating surgical equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
