About the role

RCM Health Care Services is seeking full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to provide in-person therapy services to school-based students in the Richmond, CA area. In this role, you will assess, evaluate, and treat communication disorders while collaborating with educators and families to support student success within the educational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for speech and language services
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide individual and group therapy services for students with speech, voice, and language disorders
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings to support placement and goal development
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement classroom strategies that enhance communication skills
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and stakeholders regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, records, and reports
  • Provide professional development to school staff regarding communication disorders
  • May supervise SLPAs or speech aides (SLP role only)

Schedule

  • School-year schedule aligned with academic calendar
  • Full-time or part-time opportunities available
  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP role only)
  • Valid California license issued by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA)
  • Valid driver’s license meeting district requirements

Skills

  • Ability to administer and interpret speech and language assessments
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Pay

Hourly Rate: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour (based on experience)
