AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract job in Olympia, Washington.

About the Role

Exciting opportunity for a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in the Olympia, WA area. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position for the 2026-2027 school year, working with elementary students (caseload: 48). The role offers 37.5 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and a 42-week duration starting September 9, 2026.

This is a contract position. Candidates can be local and receive straight hourly pay, or it can be a travel opportunity with travel stipends if the home tax base is more than 55 miles or 70 minutes away and living expenses are duplicated.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize specialized materials, equipment, and environments essential to the speech and language program.
  • Provide educationally related communication intervention for students disabled by disorders of language, speech, or hearing in various settings.
  • Assess speech and language skills of students suspected of having a communication disorder and consult with teachers to develop IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide resources, modeling strategies, and training to other team members in communication interventions.
  • Communicate regularly about individual student assessment results and progress with school staff, parents, and students as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Pathology.
  • Washington State SLP license.
  • Washington State ESA Certificate.
