About the role
Voca Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN for a Rehabilitation Med Surg position in New York City, New York. This is a 13-week assignment starting on 08/31/2026, with a schedule of 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM). Every other weekend is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing care in a 24-bed unit with an average census of 18.
- Adhere to staffing guidelines of 1:6 patient ratio.
- Work a 3x12 schedule with required weekends.
Requirements
- Active NYS RN License.
- BLS certification.
- CRRN certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of rehabilitation and medical-surgical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- EPIC experience highly preferred.
