American Medical Staffing is seeking a local contract Registered Respiratory Therapist for a local contract job in Baltimore, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients under the supervision of a physician.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, and peak flow measurement.
• Administer medications via nebulizer, inhalers, and other respiratory devices.
• Assist with patient education regarding respiratory conditions and treatments.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
