Medical Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN Telemetry for a local contract nursing job in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Job Details

• Shift: 12HR NIGHTS
• Will Accept 13-26 Weeks!
• If Accepting 48 hours, NO OT until after 48 hours is billed.

Required Skills / Certs / Exp

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years
• Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers
• Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
• Skills: IV Start and Telemetry, pre and post procedure patients cardiac pts., cardiac drips, PCI
• Certs: ACLS, BCLS and NIH

Special Procedures / Unit Details

• Can titrate cardiazem drips
• Typically turnover 78 to 90 patients a week
• Has an addition of a team lead to assist with admissions and discharges
• The high side (23) bed side of CTU is a covid unit that takes patients on opti-flow and acute Bipaps during a covid surge
• Unit currently houses COVID positive patients with the use of opti-flow and BIPAP

Special Equipment

• Telemetry and pulse ox
• High Flow O2 (STABLE)
• Non-Rebreather Mask (Only if Palliative)
• Bipap can be used, only if it is chronic use
• No New Bipap Blanketrol
• No Unstable O2 with BIPAP, Non Rebreather, Respiratory Rate > than 35, O2 Sat < 85%
• No Continuous KCl w/ Concentration > than 60mEq/Liter
• No New Bipap Unit System
• Pyxis, Dimensions (EPIC), SBAR

Scheduling Type

• Self Scheduling per above guidelines and with oversight from leadership to balance as needed
• Weekend Schedule: FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Blackout Dates

• 04/18/2025 – 04/20/2025 (Easter Holiday)
• 05/23/2025 - 05/26/2025 (Memorial Day Holiday)
• 06/19/2025 (Juneteenth Holiday)

Internal Notes

• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
