About the role
Stability Healthcare is seeking a local contract RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) / Tele Step‑Down position in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The role is a 13‑week local contract, 36 hours per week, working 12‑hour night shifts. PCU nurses are also known as step‑down nurses and may work in cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical step‑down or ER holding units, providing care that bridges general floor and ICU levels, increasingly within critical care settings.
Responsibilities
Provide progressive care to patients requiring monitoring and interventions beyond general ward levels but not needing full ICU support. Responsibilities include caring for patients in cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical step‑down or ER holding environments, managing telemetry, administering medications, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and responding to changes in patient condition.
Requirements
- Active RN license (discipline: RN)
