Local Contract Progressive Care Unit RN - $44 per hour
Stability Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
About the Role
The PCU nurse, also called a step-down nurse, provides care between general and ICU levels. This role may also involve critical care and is known by various names such as cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown, and ER holding.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
Requirements
- RN discipline.
- Local contract position.
Schedule
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, including a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined). Additional financial incentives include:
- $600 travel bonus
- Extra hour bonus for working over contracted weekly hours
- Guaranteed stipend if the facility calls you off
