Local Contract Physical Therapy Assistant - $39 per hour
Local contract opportunity in Ypsilanti, Michigan for a Physical Therapy Assistant. 13-week assignment, 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts.
About the role
Treva Workforce is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who enjoys working directly with patients, collaborating closely with a therapy team, and helping people regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Carry out individualized plans of care
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising PT
- Educate and encourage patients throughout their recovery
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current PTA license for the state of assignment
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the supervising Physical Therapist
- Previous clinical experience preferred
