Local Contract Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse - $76-90 per hour
About the role
We are seeking a skilled RN to work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a local hospital in Oakland, CA. This position offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and a duration of 13 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to critically ill pediatric patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and administer medications as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Document patient care activities and communicate effectively with families and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in pediatric intensive care preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
