About the role

We are seeking a local contract nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Anchorage, Alaska. This role is for 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts, nights.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and competent care to patients in a progressive care unit setting.
  • Assist with patient assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in Alaska.
  • Experience in progressive care units preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Skills

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).

Pay
