About the role
Stability Healthcare is seeking a local contract PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) Registered Nurse for a position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. PACU nurses are highly specialized RNs who care for patients recovering from anesthesia. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiratory rate), providing comfort and reassurance to patients and their families post-surgery, and observing and treating patients immediately after surgery.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs post-anesthesia
- Observe and treat patients recovering from surgery
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their families
- Assess and manage post-operative pain and complications
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Specialization in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care)
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts
- Local contract position (Oklahoma City, OK)
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- 10-hour day shifts
Pay
Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Additional compensation includes:
- $600 travel bonus
- Extra hour bonus for working over contracted weekly hours
- Guaranteed stipend if the facility cancels a shift
