Local Contract Operating Room RN - $52-61 per hour

About the role

Medical Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Rockport, Maine.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room under the supervision of an RN or MD.
• Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
• Perform aseptic techniques and sterile field maintenance.
• Prepare operating rooms for procedures and assist with equipment setup.
• Administer medications and fluids as ordered by the physician.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Maine.
• Experience in the Operating Room setting preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam.

Skills

• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
