About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a 13-week job in Maryville, Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Assess patients' functional abilities and develop treatment plans to improve their quality of life.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient progress and communicate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Current license to practice occupational therapy in Missouri.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- One year of relevant work experience preferred.
- Passing scores on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
Skills
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual needs.
