Unit Specifics
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Unit staffing: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians
- Documentation system: Meditech
Responsibilities
- IV insertion
- NG tube insertion
- Chest tube management
- Foley catheter insertion and removal
- Bladder scanning
- Basic intake/output management
- Clear and effective communication with physicians and team members
- Physician interaction and engagement
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Telemetry hospital experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIH certification
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts
